Old 97's are an alt-country act - orginally from Dallas, Texas - who are playing in Marfa at El Cosmico's 8th Annual Trans-Pecos Festival on Friday, September 26.
One of the band's founders, Rhett Miller, took a few minutes to chat about his band and his music. Miller has never been to Marfa before this trip. He talks about the band's longevity (21 years), his approach to making records, and his interest in Hank Williams and Brit Pop.
