Times are changing for the hardware industry in Marfa. On Saturday, an auction was held for the assets of Corder Lumber & Hardware. Livingston’s remains open, and is focused on the ranching industry. On Monday ABC Pump came under new management, and was renamed Marfa Hardware.

ABC Pump had been operated by the Donaldson family since the 1970s. The assets were purchased by Bruce Matney, who was raised in Ozona and worked for many years in Dallas. He intends to modernize the point-of-sale system, expand the hours of operation, and retain current staff members.
