Local author David McDannald joins us to discuss his new book, The Last Great Ape: A Journey Through Africa and a Fight for the Heart of the Continent. McDannald will be reading from his book today (Friday, Sept 7) at the Marfa Book Company at 6 PM. McDannald splits his time between his family's ranch outside of Valentine and traveling in Africa and South America.
