Playoff season has come to Texas Highschool Football.
The only team from the Trans Pecos that made it to the playoffs has already dropped out. The Alpine Fightin' Bucks lost their first round game against the Hawley Bearcats on Friday, getting shut out 21-0.
The Permian Six-Man teams however continue their dominating streak. The Crane Cranes beat the Coleman Bluecats 32-12. The Monahans Loboes played the Pecos Eagles last Thursday and kept their hats in the race for a championship by winning 35-13. The Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys won as well, knocking out the Loop Longhorns in a 68-20 victory. The Midland-Lee Rebels are sticking around for another week as well, taking out the El Dorado Aztecs 47-28 in their round one game.
Finally, the Sul Ross Lobos played their final game of the year over the weekend. They lost via a two point conversion in the last minute of the game against the East Texas Baptist Tigers. The final score was 34-32, and the Lobos record for the year was a dismal 1-9.
