Starting Monday, July 1, we’re proud to announce the premier of Here & Now on KRTS Marfa Public Radio.
Here & Now is a live daily news magazine, produced by NPR & WBUR in Boston. The show brings you the news that breaks after Morning Edition and before All Things Considered. It airs weekdays from Monday to Thursday from 1-3 PM.
The show is hosted by Emmy and Peabody award winning Robin Young. She brings more than 25 years of broadcast experience to her role as host of Here & Now. Co-host Jeremy Hobson worked at Marketplace for six years, and many KRTS listeners will remember him as the former host of the Marketplace Morning Report.  Hobson was also a producer for NPR's All Things Considered and Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, and worked as a reporter for several NPR member stations.
Here & Now replaces Talk of the Nation on Marfa Public Radio.  In March, NPR announced their decision to discontinue the program after 21 years. The last episode of  Talk of the Nation was on June 27, and featured a thoughtful sign off from host Neal Conan. We’d like to thank Conan and everyone at Talk of the Nation for bringing the national conversation to West Texas listeners. Those mourning "The Political Junkie" segment with Ken Rudin can still hear Rudin each week on NPR's It's All Politics podcast.
Fans of Science Friday, don't fret! Sci Fri will continue as usual, airing every Friday from 1-3 PM.
