Tonight (August 1) Rio Grande Electric Cooperative will be conducting emergency pole replacement and other repairs due to the recent lightning damage. There will be planned power outages tonight at 10 p.m. that will last approximately 4-5 hours effecting electric co-op members in the Terlingua/Study Butte area. Also, residents in the Alpine and Marathon areas served by the Altuda substation will have two, thirty minute long outages at 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.
