Adaptation to Heat

Often the heat, rain, and dry conditions of summer are taken to the extremes of drought, flood, thunderstorms, and hurricanes. When you seek shade and a cold drink to "beat the heat," you're not alone; critters from the smallest insect to the largest mammals do the same -- and in similar ways.
