Marfa DJ Brian LeBarton - who has hosted Friday nights on KRTS 93.5 FM since 2008 - is performing at the 85th Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24. He is playing keyboards in support of the widely-popular British singer, Adele.

Adele, whose title song for the James Bond film Skyfall, was nominated for an Oscar, asked LeBarton to play synthesizer in her band. He has also performed with FeistCat Power, Beck, Charlotte Gainsbourgh, and the Watson Twins.

A most-the-time resident of Marfa, he recently taught Marfa Synth, a series of classes on the synthesizer at the Marfa Book Company, which he previewed here. The KRTS DJ has hosted Generator on Marfa Public Radio on Friday nights at 10 PM for the past 5 years.
