November 1: Enrollment is down at Sul Ross State University in Alpine. Some academic programs have been shut down. There are residents of Alpine who are concerned about the school’s future. Some are even suggesting that Sul Ross leave its current system – the Texas State University System - and join with the consortium led by Texas Tech.
