There is what is believed to be a non-violent death of a man employed by the Big Bend Sector of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The Border Patrol released the following statement:
KRTS News contacted a CPB spokesperson who said, "At this time, there is no indication this death was a result of foul play."
The Big Bend Sector of Border Patrol has the largest geographical area of any sector along the Southwest border. Agents are responsible for more 420 miles of river border.
MONDAY UPDATE: Funeral services will held on Tuesday in Fort Stockton at the Civic Center. Viewing begins at noon, with a memorial service at 2 PM.
