In football news over the weekend, the Fort Davis Indians triumphed over Midland Trinity on Friday night, the score nearly reaching triple digits as the Indians won 91-58. Marfa put up a good fight against El Paso Faith, but couldn't hold on, losing 54-50 and granting EP Faith with their second win of the season.
The Sul Ross Lobos gained their second win on Saturday against Mississippi College, putting up an impressive 75-42 win after the nearly 900-mile drive to Clinton, MS. The Lobos offense showed little signs of fatigue after the journey, racking up an impressive 360 yards in rushing and 437 in receiving.
The Alpine Fightin' Ladybucks volleyball team lost in 5 sets to Kermit on Saturday. Coach Adrian Stein reports that the team struggled in that match, but will continue to refine their serving and overall discipline. The Ladybucks head to Tornillo for a match tomorrow night (Tuesday, October 9.)
