Today (Friday September 14) KRTS celebrates its 5th anniversary. KRTS began continuous broadcasts at 93.5 FM on this date in 2007.
Marfa Public Radio - a non-profit community station - was organized in 2005. The Kay Burnett Studios in midtown Marfa were completed in 2006.
Staff members are Tom Michael, Anne Adkins, and Rachel Osier Lindley. The current interns are Joe Ed Waggoner, Travis Bubenik, and Megan Stonelake.
There are many volunteers, including the board of directors: Eugene Sepulveda, Ginger Reeder, John Wotowicz, David Chappell, Kay Taylor Burnett, John Jennings, Stephen Odewahn, Tim Crowley, Liz Rogers, and Tim Johnson.
