Believe it or not, it's getting cooler in West Texas, as our rains come rolling in this month. And the morning of Saturday, September 10 ought to be perfect weather for our second annual Marfa 100. Register now.
This charitable cycling event is an out-and-back ride (100 km / 62-miles) down picture-perfect Pinto Canyon Road, which is Texas Ranch Road 2810. You have to ride it at bike speeds to really enjoy the gorgeous landscape.
While you're registering at the Marfa 100 website, check out the video to see how this year's innovative poster was created. Proceeds from the charity ride will benefit Marfa Public Radio and the Livestrong Foundation.
Special thanks to Todd Widell, LatinWorks, Thunderbird Capri, and the City of Marfa. Get any late-breaking updates on the Marfa 100 Facebook page.
