Today (Tuesday, Aug 9) Jeffs was sentenced to life in prison. Last week, Jeffs was convicted for two counts of sexual assault of a child that occurred during his time at the compound for the FLDS (Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints) in Eldorado, just to the north of the KRTS listening area. At the time, Jeffs was on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List.
Anderson is the only non-local journalist who has attended all five of the previous trials of FLDS men.
