In football news this weekend, the Alpine Fightin' Bucks (6-1) head to Stanton on Friday to take on the Buffaloes, after a 54-7 win against Regan County last week. The Balmorhea Bears (6-1) head to Grandfalls-Royalty to take on the undefeated Cowboys, while Fort Davis comes off a by week to host the Rankin Red Devils (6-1.) Also on Friday night, the Marfa Shorthorns (3-4) will host the Garden City Bearkats (1-6.)
On Saturday, the Sul Ross Lobos (3-4) will travel to Abilene to square off against Hardin-Simmons University (4-3.) The Lobos are coming off a 41-24 loss against Louisiana College at home last weekend, while the Cowboys lost their own battle against Mary Hardin-Baylor 45-32 in Belton, TX.
