Marfa Public Radio officials were thrilled when the Union Pacific Foundation presented them with a $10,000 check last week for continuing operations at KRTS.
The radio signal at 93.5 FM broadcasts to several railroad towns in Far West Texas, including Alpine, Marathon, Valentine, and Marfa. The Union Pacific Foundation "believes that the quality of life in the communities in which its employees live and work is an integral part of its own success."
