A once-in-a-lifetime celestial event happened tonight. Did you see it?
The planet Venus passed in front of the sun, roughly ending when the sun set in West Texas. It was a bit cloudy at times. Venus is very small against the sun, but many in the astronomy community surrounding the McDonald Observatory made sightings.
