Sul Ross professor of theatre Dona W. Roman joins us to discuss Aye, No! Part Dos, which premiers this weekend. The play was written by Sul Ross State University resident playwright Liz Coronado Castillo and directed by Dona.
The play runs April 29-May 6. Curtain time is 8:15 p.m for the April 27, 28 and May 4, 5 shows. Matinee performances are Sundays at 2 p.m. April 29 and May 6. This Saturday, April 21st, Ballroom Marfa hosts the 2nd annual presentation of The Reading, a professionally staged screenplay performance that showcases one of the winners of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ annual Nicholl Fellowship. The Reading will again be directed by Dallas-based veteran actor/director John S. Davies and produced by Carolyn Pfeiffer and Nancy Sanders.

Basile, Marc, Ariane, and Benjamin are residents at Fieldwork Marfa and students at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Nantes.

Houston-native Bonnie Bishop brings her country-rock music to the KRTS studios for a live performance. Now living in Nashville, she performs a few songs live and shares the lead single “Bad Seed” from her forthcoming album Free, expected to be released in August. Bishop also has writing credits on the new Bonnie Raitt album, Slipstream, which just hit the streets this month.
Bishop performs locally this Thursday, April 19, at the Railroad Blues in Alpine, with the Dirty River Boys. The show begins at 10 PM. More information on Bishop can be found at her website.
